Chia is packed with protein, fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. It aids in digestion and can be a completely healthy and delicious breakfast or snack depending on how you prepare it!
I never understood the chia pudding craze until I started making it myself and now I am addicted. This is a simple, fast, set-it-and-forget it recipe without any added sweeteners. I hope you love it as much as I do!
INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp chia seeds
½ to ¾ cup homemade cashew milk
2 to 4 Tbsp unsweetened greek yogurt
small glass jar with airtight lid
INSTRUCTIONS:
First add the chia seeds to your jar followed by the milk then the yogurt
Stir to combine and let sit for 1-2 minutes
Stir a final time making sure to eliminate any clumps
Seal jar with lid and place in fridge
Enoy the next morning topped with any fruit of your choice
TIPS & NOTES:
Use milk of your choice
Stir in collagen powder to your milk before adding to the chia seeds for extra protein
Add honey if you’re craving something sweet
Use any yogurt of your choice or omit altogether
Add a Tbsp of nut butter before you add your fruit
I love to add lemon zest when using berries
I find the dates and the vanilla from the homemade milk add an excellent flavor and enough sweetness to this recipe
