What Is Brow Lamination and How Can It Help You?

If you haven’t heard the buzz of brow lamination yet I’m here to introduce you to this life-changing service you will never go without again! I heard about brow lamination back in 2019 and became the first in Santa Barbara to offer this innovative service. If you were a victim of the over tweezed, over threaded (or waxed) brows this service will be your new religion!

Before + Afters:

  • Brow lamination is a semi-permanent treatment that delicately and accurately realigns the brow hairs whether you want a full, fluffy look (my favorite) or a sleek, tamed brow. Think of it as a straightening and lengthening processing of the brow hairs. Brow lamination will add volume and can cover sparse areas of the brow to create a more even, fuller and softer look.

  • It’s a three-step simple process. First, we apply a solution that softens the bonds of the hair. Second, we apply a neutralizing solution that sets the hairs into their new shape. Last, we apply a nourishing serum to replenish the hair.

  • Yes, we love adding a tint to this service! After the second solution is removed, the tint is applied before the nourishing serum. Tinting can yield amazing results when added to this service because it catches all the fine light hairs and brings them into the new shape of the brow making them appear more even and fuller.

  • Yumi! The world's first and best true keratin treatment for lashes and brows! We are always going to use only the best and cleanest products on the market! Yumi is 100% made in France adhering to the more stringent EU regulations and as a result is hypoallergenic, vegan, cruelty-free, non-toxic, paraben-free, formaldehyde-free and ammonia-free! With Keratin infused into each step of this process you will notice your hairs feel stronger and healthier post treatment!

  • The main reason we choose to use Yumi for this service is to prevent any damage to your brow hair! With the quality of this product and the training we have undergone the chances of compromising the integrity of your hair is slim to none! There is a chance of damage to the hair with lesser quality products on the market and trust us, we’ve seen it! If you’re being sold a quick processing time and a speedy appointment the technician is most likely using a fast-acting solution that can overprocess the hair resulting in breakage and orange colored brow hairs. Slow and steady wins the race! If you’re not in Santa Barbara and want to try this service we recommend using Yumi’s locator on their website to find a technician in your area!

  • Absolutely, especially if you add the tint! No matter how thick or thin your brows are, brow lamination will make them appear fuller, fluffier and will soften your face with a more youthful looking brow!

  • Anywhere from 6-8 weeks depending on how well you care for the hairs post service and how well you follow the pre and post instructions.

  • A brow wax is not included with this service at The Lounge but we recommend adding it to your appointment to achieve the best results and complete the look!

  • We recommend coming every 6-8 weeks to stay consistent with your new brow look. If you don’t want the treatment to be fully gone before coming back, 6-7 weeks is usually the perfect amount of time!

  • Aftercare is simple but very important. Most importantly, you cannot get your brows wet for 48 hours post treatment. Make sure not to touch your brows with your fingers, no makeup or moisturizers, exfoliating, facials, saunas or heavy sweating and stay out of the sun for the first 48 hours. Brush your brows daily and for longer lasting results use a keratin treatment or lash/brow conditioner daily.

We can’t wait to transform your brows at The Lounge with a brow lamination! Click here to schedule your brow remodel with us!
